8 1/2" (22 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, large brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth with shaded lips, two square-cut upper teeth and one square-cut lower, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, painted yellow socks and black two-strap shoes with sculpted bows. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 886 S 5 H. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: especially beautiful face on the rare large size doll, dramatic eyes, rare socks and shoes, and wearing original costume.
