16" (41 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips and knees, kid-over-wooden upper arms, bisque lower arms. Condition: generally excellent, restoration to fingers of left hand. Marks: 2 (head and shoulders) F.G. (shoulders). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1875. Value Points: beautifully constructed early silk costume with matching bonnet, undergarments, leather boots.
