19" (48 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, almond-shaped pale blue enamel inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, delicately painted lashes and brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with accent highlights on lips emphasizing the slightly upturned lip corners, pierced ears, original blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset jointing at hips, knees, and elbows, stitched and separated fingers, square-cut collarette. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: G (head) H (shoulder plate). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, his deposed model poupee of 1872. Value Points: beautiful rare size, all-original head, shoulder plate, body and wig, especially sturdy and fresh body, superb painting especially of lips, fine antique costume.
