Of very firm terra cotta or paper mache, with one piece head, torso and feet, and with jointed arms; having painted features, blue outlined eyes, closed mouth in smiling expression, painted teeth, sculpted black uniform as robe with gilt accents, sabre, collar and cuffs, black cap with gold star. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: late 1800s, the doll represents a Cossack soldier in uniform. Value Points: well detailed painting of uniform and accessories, articulated arms.
