Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted lower lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, dimpled chin, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, French composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1079 Germany Halbig S&H 2 1/2 (doll) Au Nain Bleu Paris (paper label on body, hat, and dress). Comments: Simon and Halbig for the French market, circa 1900, the doll was especially commissioned for the prestige Parisian toy store of Au Nain Bleu. Value Points: all original doll has Au Nain Bleu labeled dress and bonnet, undergarments, white kidskin shoes marked L.E. and Au Nain Bleu labeled body.
