12" (30 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, almond-shaped blue glass inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with upturned lip corners as though smiling, accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset jointing at elbows, hips and knees, stitched and separated fingers, square-cut collarette, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: B. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, his deposed smiling poupee model of 1872. Value Points: enchanting petite size of the beloved model with superb bisque, painting, original wig, pate, and body, especially sturdy body.
