27" (69 cm.) h. x 13"w. x 7"d. The wooden upright secretary desk in the Chippendale manner has ebony painted finish with rich gilt and red Chinoiserie decorations and scenes, with drawers in the lower chest, drop-slant front writing surface which, when opened, reveals intricately-fitted drawers and niches, and an upper detachable cabinet with elaborate interior. Excellent condition. In the Chippendale manner, mid-1900s.
