11" (28 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, short brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SH 3 949. Comments: Simon & Halbig, circa 1885. Value Points: especially pretty closed mouth doll in diminutive size, original body and body finish, wearing original well-detailed folklore costume and bonnet, and is preserved in impeccable original condition.
