Description
6" (15 cm.) largest platter. Of creamy softpaste with painted whimsical scenes, the service comprises large round lidded tureen, oval tureen with undertray, two oval platters, sauce dish with undertray, relish dish, large bowl, two footed serving dishes, four soup bowls, eight dinner plates, two round serving plates. Each is signed "Passe Temps, U & Cie Sarreguemines". Excellent condition, few tiny flakes. French, circa 1890, a rare service with wonderful whimsical tinted illustrations.
