The carved wooden horse in prancing pose with realistically turned head has black bead eyes, carved and painted detail of mane, tail, hooves, mouth and saddlery including gilt-fringed and tasseled blanket. Posed on carved wooden platform to simulate ground cover. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
