18" (46 cm.) Porcelain swivel head with very plump facial shape and flat-cut neck rim, on original porcelain shoulderplate, pink-tinted complexion, painted blue eyes gazing upward with darker outer iris rims, black upper eyeliner, painted all-around lashes, lightly-feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, unpierced ears, blonde lambswool wig, kid poupee body with kid-over-wooden upper arms, pink-tinted porcelain lower arms and hands, gusset-jointed hips, ball-jointed knees with kid-over carved knee balls, pull-strings in torso for seating pose. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (Rohmer oval stamp on torso). Comments: Leontine Rohmer, circa 1857, having distinctive body as shown in her 1857 depose. Value Points: fine gleaming porcelain accentuates the beautifully painted eyes, softly blushed cheeks, signed original body and wearing superb antique silk gown, undergarments, bonnet, and leather slippers.
