Carved wooden doll with painted complexion and facial features depicting a grandmotherly type, has smiling expression, metal spectacles, white hair under tied bonnet, fixed carved arms bent at elbows and with painted black gloves, padded legs, wooden shoes, wearing long black gown, woolen shawl, black velvet purse, and bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Luscher (script on cloth tag of costume). Comments: age uncertain, likely late 19th century. Value Points: endearing presentation of both doll and costume.
