Bisque socket head, glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, short feathered brows, mohair lashes, accented nostrils, open mouth, two porcelain upper teeth, five-piece composition toddler body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Simon & Halbig AHW (in circle) Germany 156 2 1/2. Comments: Simon and Halbig for Adolf Hulss, circa 1920. Value Points: the matched pair are all-original, the girl with blue sleep eyes, blonde human hair braids, cotton country dress, apron, red bandana and socks, black shoes; the boy with brunette bobbed hair, brown sleep eyes, wool-flannel Tyrolean style costume including feathered cap, embroidered suspenders, knit socks, leather shoes.
