21" (53 cm.) Bisque socket head, painted blue eyes, thick black upper eyeliner, one-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth in gentle smiling expression, outlined lips, row of four painted teeth, impressed dimples in cheeks and philtrum, brunette mohair bobbed wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique linen romper suit, knit stockings, oxford shoes and velvet tam. Condition: generally excellent, few minor wig pulls. Marks: 151 S&H 3 Germany. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1910, from that firm's very rare 150 art character series, of which only three different models were made. Value Points: very rare model with deep sculpting of eye crinkles and cheek and lip corner dimples, enhanced by finest quality of bisque and painting.
