10" (25 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with oval-shaped face, elongated throat, black painted hair drawn smoothly around her face and over her ears into coiled braided chignon, painted blue eyes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, slender kid body with shapely waist, wooden lower limbs, painted yellow shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1850. Value Points: most appealing sense of refinement in the perfectly poised lady with original finish, rare coiffure, and wearing original costume.
