12" (30 cm.) Bisque-head girl with swivel head, brown glass enamel inset eyes, painted features, closed mouth. brunette mohair wig over cork pate, carton torso and legs, wire upper arms and bisque forearms, standing upon a metal platform with three spoked wheels, alongside a large black and white hunting hound with glass eyes. When wound, the girl vigorously moves her arms up and down, and turns head side to side, while wheels turn and the toy moves along. Condition: generally excellent, fingertip broken, mechanism functions. Marks: G. Vichy Paris (mechanism). Comments: Gustav Vichy, circa 1875. Sold as is.
