Comments: shoulderhead variation of the portrait doll of the child film star, Baby Peggy, commissioned by the New York import firm of Amberg, circa 1924. The doll was originally gifted to the noted Hollywoodiana collector, Billie Nelson Tyrell by Baby Peggy in 1976, and after the death of the Tyrell the doll returned to the hands of Baby Peggy (note on back of doll head). Value Points: rarely found model with enchanting expression is from the private collection of Diana Serra Cary, known as "Baby Peggy".
