12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head with very plump cheeks,small blue glass sleep eyes with spiral threading,dark eyeliner,rose-blushed eye shadow,feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with painted teeth between the dainty lips,blonde mohair wig,early composition and wooden plump body with jointed wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 7. Comments: Kestner,circa 1885,the model closely resembles the "circle/dot" bebe of Leon Casimir Bru,whose market Kestner attempted to capture. Value Points: rare early Kestner model in diminutive size with rare painted teeth,original body and body finish,fine early magenta silk costume,undergarments,shoes,and socks.
