19" (48 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head of adult lady with heart-shaped face and elongated throat, black sculpted hair arranged with elaborate pouf curls at each side that center a high honeycomb arrangment of tight braids and curls, muslin stitch-jointed slender body. Condition: generally excellent, some light crazing on back shoulder plate. Comments: Germany, circa 1840. Value Points: very rare model with elaborate detail of coiffure and with original finish, the doll is wearing fine antique linen gown with transfer pattern.
