16" (41 cm.) Black-complexioned paper mache shoulderhead, very thickly-sculpted short curly hair forming into a forelock curl which reaches to the center of the sculpted angled brows, painted brown upper glancing eyes, heavy eyelids, tiny shaped nose, closed mouth with very full fretful lips, three sculpted tears, brown muslin body, brown paper mache arms and legs, antique indigo blue cotton dress with feather-stitching, undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Leo Moss, early 1900s. Value Points: especially fine artistry of hair sculpting, wonderful presence, rare painted eyes and three endearing tears.
