Description
4 1/2" (11 cm.) One-piece all-bisque head, torso and legs, loop-jointed arms with starfish-shaped hands, sculpted red fireman's helmet with wide brim and black shield with raised numbers "206", painted side-glancing googly eyes, dash brows, painted lashes, wide impish smile, blue modeled wings. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Kewpie Germany (original paper shield label on chest). Comments: Kewpie, designed by Rose O'Neill, circa 1912. Value Points: rare "Fireman Kewpie" model with original label, and original red silk ribbon bow.
