16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head with heart-shaped face, deeply-set eye sockets, painted blue eyes with pronounced black pupils, red and black upper eyeliner, one stroke brows, aquiline nose, accented nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though open, row of upper beaded teeth, brunette mohair wig, composition flapper body with elongated slender torso and limbs, modeled bent arms, well costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F.B. 616 1. Comments: Fritz Bierschenk, the Sonneberg dollmaker registered this singular head model, 616, in 1908; few examples appear to have been made as evidenced by their rarity. Value Points: beautiful portrait like doll with distinctive features and body, finest bisque and painting, original wig, body, body finish and costume.
