Solid domed paper mache shoulder head with black painted pate, painted teal-blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, arched brows, accented nostrils of aquiline nose, closed mouth, black hand-tied human hair wig, pink kid poupee body with shapely limbs, tiny waist, stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1840. Value Points: pristine condition with dramatic large eyes, softly blushed cheeks, very sturdy body, original wig, and wearing original multi-layered traditional costume of Avignon, France of beautiful fabrics, laces and accessories.
