11" (28 cm.) Carved wooden head with well-defined facial features, tinted brows, eyes and lips, firmly stuffed cloth torso, attached fitted cap below a pyramid-shaped wide-brimmed hat, long queue. Condition: generally excellent, some silk wear on sleeves. Comments: Chinese Door of Hope Mission doll, circa 1920. Value Points: the solemn-faced man wears original black silk robe with embroidered front panel over blue underrobe, and has high black silk boots and unusual hat.
