13" (33 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate with modeled bosom and shoulderblades, amber brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips and center line, pierced ears, auburn mohair wig over cork pate, slender kid bebe body with Chevrot hinged legs, wooden lower legs, kid-over-wooden upper arms, bisque forearms and hands. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bru Jne 2 (head) No 2 Bru Jne (shoulders). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1886, during the Chevrot epoch. Value Points: splendid bebe with most beautiful eyes and lovely bisque, original body, bisque hands, wearing original aqua silk dress, undergarments, bonnet, socks, and with leather shoes with silver buckles marked "Bru Jne Paris 2".
