17" (43 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve-blushed eyeshadow, feathered brows, padded stockinette torso and upper arms and legs over metal armature allowing for articulation, bisque hands and bisque lower legs and feet, antique chemise and pantalets, and with rose crepe chiffon robe. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: E. Depose B. Comments: French, circa 1870, with rare deposed body by Pannier, made by Gesland. Value Points: lovely pale bisque with brilliant cobalt eyes, rare Gesland body with bisque hands and feet, well defined fingers and toes.
