16" (41 cm.) h. wheel. A wooden framed lottery wheel with rich gilt papers and decoupage decorations contains a large number of lucky numbers, each wrapped in its original maple wood cylinder, that corresponds to the number on "prizes". The prizes are wonderful little "articles de Paris" and include a miniature silver basket with copper trim, blown blue glass perfumerie with stopper and belt loop, little bisque figure of child, miniature urn with rich ormolu trim and stopper, miniature blue glass bottle on pedestal table, and more. Each of the objects is perfectly preserved and retains its original gilt lettered paper label. The storage container for gifts and papers is included, labeled "Jeu de la Tombola". French, circa 1880. Very rare and in superb original condition.
