Two Chinese Wooden Dolls from Door of Hope including Bride

Each has carved wooden head with well-defined facial features, painted black hair (the larger with distinctive circular outline at the forehead edge and sculpted chignon, and the smaller with additional black silk hair), tinted facial features, firmly stuffed muslin body. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Door of Hope Mission dolls, circa 1920s, included is bride and a small child. Value Points: each doll is wearing its original very elaborate silk costume with embroidered details and tiny silk slippers.
