Description
13" (33 cm.) x 10". With story based on the play by Sir. J.M. Barrie, and wonderful color illustrations by Roy Best, and including bound-in music sheets for several songs, published by Whitman, 1931. Roy Best, more known for his sketches of pin-up girls, was commissioned by Whitman to illustrate this book. The book was owned by young child Shirley Temple. The story remained a favorite of hers, and during her late teen years she auditioned for the role of Peter Pan in a Broadway production.
