Description
17" (43 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted facial features, shaded brown hair with forelock curl, shaded green/brown eyes and pronounced black and brown upper eyeliner, accented nostrils, closed mouth with downcast pensive expression, stitch-jointed shoulders, wide disc-jointed five-seam legs, separately-stitched thumbs. Condition: generally excellent, tiny nose rub. Marks: Kathe Kruse 67827 (left foot) made in Germany 484 (right foot). Unique Art Doll (original paper label with back-to-back KK lettering). Comments: Kathe Kruse, Type I, circa 1920. Value Points: the doll has beautiful original finish, near mint body, original paper label and is wearing original costume.
