26" (66 cm.) Very thick hand-pressed porcelain shoulderhead with rosy-tinted complexion, solid dome with three sew holes at forehead rim for attachment of brunette human hair wig, slightly-rounded oval-shaped face, elongated throat, sloping shoulders with slightly modeled bosom and five sew holes, painted brown eyes with red and brown upper eyeliner, brown single stroke brows, closed mouth with wide center accent line, blushed cheeks, muslin stitch-jointed body, tinted porcelain lower arms and legs with four sew holes on each, porcelain bare feet, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (three small horizontal incised lines and brown ink 9 (inside shoulderplate) 9 (back shoulderplate). Comments: from porcelain works of the village of Schlaggenwald (now of Czech Republic), mid-1800s. Value Points: the exquisite rare model is enhanced further by elegant size, fine lustrous patina of tinted complexion, rare brown eyes, original wig with pearl hair ornaments, original body with porcelain limbs, exquisite sculpting of fingers, beautiful antique gold silk gown, undergarments, leather ankle boots.
