Description
19" (48 cm.) x 18"w. 4" dolls. The wooden toy theatre has richly ornamented raised designs and centering cartouche "Opera", with center stage and background scenery. Accompanying the theatre are 13 original theatre performers, each with bisque head, muslin body and original factory costume representing various characters, and including Marquis, Marquise, soldier, nobleman, jester and various other men and women. Excellent condition. French, circa 1885, rare to find with bisque dolls and well-preserved original costumes.
