Poured wax shoulder head with delicately tinted brows, lashes, and mouth, blue glass inset eyes, blonde hair tendrils into wax scalp lending wispy baby hair look, softly stuffed muslin body and upper limbs, poured wax lower limbs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: English, attributed to Montanari, circa 1860. Value Points: exquisite gentle expression, with original body, and superb multi-layered fine antique baby gown, undergarments, woolen knit boots, and lavish lace and silk bonnet.
