12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head with amber-tinted complexion, brown glass eyes, painted lashes, short black feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, outlined lips, two porcelain upper teeth, black mohair wig over plaster pate, amber-tinted composition baby body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent, original body finish albeit craquelure. Marks: F made in Germany 10 243 JDK. Comments: Kestner, circa 1912. Value Points: distinctive model of young Chinese child was used for this doll alone, never being adapted to other models as was customary; the doll wears silk costume with well-detailed embroidery.
