25" (64 cm.) Bisque socket head with very full cheeks and chin, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, dark painted lashes, rose-blushed eye shadow, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the richly shaded lips, pierced ears, brunette hand-tied human hair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, blue and ivory silk bebe dress with lace jabot, brooch and watch, woven bonnet, ivory silk shoes. Condition: generally excellent, body is appropriately-sized and of the same era albeit not original. Marks: Paris H.G. 11 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Henri Delcroix, the Parisian doll maker registered a series of marks, including H.G., in 1887; the models were made for only a very few years. Value Points: very expressive model enhanced by dramatic painting of features, enhances the rarity of the model.
