13" (33 cm.) Standing upon a silk covered wooden base is a bisque head doll with blue glass eyes, painted features, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, carton torso with shapely bosom and waist, straight legs, wire padded arms, metal hands. When wound the doll turns its head side to side and waves arm up and down. Condition: bisque excellent, costume original and fairly well preserved, mechanism functions well although accessories likely missing. French, circa 1865. Sold as is.
