16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass "flirty" eyes, mohair lashes, slightly-modeled brushstroked brows, painted lower lashes, accented nostrils, open mouth, outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, blonde mohair wig, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with mechanism in torso, one piece legs, metal rollers at bottom of feet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SH 1039 7 dep Germany (head) Brevete 309 249 SGDG (feet). Comments: Roullet et Decamps with original head commissioned from Simon and Halbig, the doll was deposed in 1893 as Bebe L'Intrepide. When wound, the doll alternately lifts each leg slightly as the doll walks (actually, rolls) along on wheeled feet, eyes flirt. Value Points: pristine condition with very beautiful soft curly wig, original lashes, body, rare walking mechanism, original attached kidskin shoes.
