6" (15 cm.) Carved wooden head with gofun finish, painted eyes and features, shadowed front crown, black silk fiber hair drawn back at sides of head into broom topknot, wooden hands extended expressively to his front, wearing a very fine silk brocade kimono with unusual elongated legs, plaid silk under-kimono, ivory sash with cord tie, lacquered black textured paper hat with embroidered edging. Excellent condition. Showa era, 1930s.
