17" (43 cm.) All-cloth doll with swivel head, firmly pressed and oil-painted facial features and complexion, large brown eyes, upper lashes, turned up button-shaped nose, closed mouth with outlined lips, blonde human hair wig in bobbed cut, disc jointing at shoulders and hips, wearing white silk shirt and brown woolen pants, socks, shoes. Generally excellent. Germany, early 1930s. The doll is marked "Made in Germany" on the right foot, and was an early doll in the young star's collection.
