Description
9" (23 cm.) dolls. 10" x 21" open. A firm-sided box with lithographed paper cover including scenes of "La Petite Ecoliere" (little school girl) and "Le Petit Ecolier" (little school boy) opens at the center and folds out, to form a presentation of two little bisque dolls, in matching boy and girl school costumes, along with various school accessories including notebooks, satchels, maps, folios, teacher's award certificates, and a wooden-pedestal world globe. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: for the French market, circa 1910, presented in a Paris department store catalog as Etrennes holiday gift. Value Points: perfectly preserved state of the wonderful presentation.
