26" (66 cm.) Honey-toned poured wax shoulder head of plump-faced child, her head turned to the side, blue glass inset eyes, brown outlined eyes, brows, plump cheeks, closed mouth with downcast lips, blonde mohair inserted hair, muslin stitch-jointed body, poured wax lower limbs with brass grommets, beautiful antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: From Mrs. Peck The Doll's House...(faded stamp on torso). Comments: England, circa 1880. Value points: very appealing and gentle facial expression, original body with maker's signature, lovely costume may be original.
