Description
11" (28 cm.) Carved wooden socket head, carved hair stippled around the forehead and captured into a chignon at the back, held by a gold barrettes, carved and tinted facial features, deeply set eyes, cloth body. Condition: doll is generally excellent, coarsely woven netting is worn. Comments: Chinese Door of Hope Mission, circa 1920, the third series of widow with a gold hair band. Value Points: wearing original homespun jacket and skirt with frog closures, head wrap, linen slippers, coarsely woven over-jacket.
