Description
23" (58 cm.) Standing behind a pedestal table upon a velvet covered platform is a bisque-headed woman with blue glass eyes, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, carton torso and legs, wire upper arms, bisque forearms, holding little bisque doll. When wound, lady moves head side to side, and alternately lifts each arm, while music plays. Condition: bisque excellent, mechanism and music function well, needing restoration of costume and accessories. Marks: L.B. (key) 1159 Simon & Halbig S&H 6. Leopold Lambert, circa 1890, large automaton worthy of restoration to her costume and details. Sold as is.
