Description
29" (74 cm.) x 22". The pen and ink drawing is heightened with yellow shading, and depicts a fashionable couple in conversation, she pressing her fingers against his chest and the two smiling flirtatiously, while in the background another woman with a young child is glancing backwards at the couple. There is a Rose O'Neill hand-lettered note below the drawing which explains the scene: "Clara had seen her talking with Tod on the corner one day". The drawing is singed O'Neill. Framed. Excellent condition. Rose O'Neill, circa 1915, likely created under commission to illustrate a magazine story; a card attached to the back indicates its previous presence, #44, at the Wichita Art Association Galleries, titled "Rose O'Neill, A Flirt Doing Her Bit".
