18" (46 cm.) Very thick hand-pressed porcelain shoulderhead with rosy-tinted complexion, solid dome with three sew holes at forehead rim for attachment of wig, oval-shaped face, elongated throat, sloping shoulders with slightly modeled bosom and five sew holes, painted blue eyes with red and black upper eyeliner, brown single stroke brows, closed mouth with richly shaded lips, blushed cheeks, muslin stitch-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: from porcelain works of the village of Schlaggenwald (now of Czech Republic), mid-1800s. Value Points: rare model with distinctive expression, complexion tinting, and wig attachment.
