25" (64 cm.) Bisque socket head with very deeply modeled features, painted blue eyes in well-defined sockets, black upper eyeliner, one-stroke tapered brows, accented nostrils of rounded nose, closed mouth with very full pouting lips, brunette human hair braids, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, wearing antique white pique school dress with red trim, undergarments, shoes, socks. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R 114 64. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1910, the model marketed as "Gretchen" from their art character series. Value Points: very rare size of the artistically sculpted wistful child, with finest bisque, complexion and painting, original body and body finish.
