16" (41 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, sculpted light brown boyish hair with forelock curls, inset brown glass eyes in almond shape, brown painted curly lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, French composition and wooden fully jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SFBJ 226 Paris 6. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1912, from their art character series. Value Points: especially fine quality of sculpting and bisque, impressed cheek and chin dimples, original body and body finish, antique smock, cap, undergarments, black stockings and black leather shoes.
