Description
17" (43 cm.) Pink-tinted porcelain shoulderhead with sculpted short brown hair having swirled forelock curl onto forehead, sculpted details of eyes, painted blue eyes in half-moon shape, incised and red upper eyeliner, single stroke brown brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, early muslin hand-stitched body with leather arms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (KPM blue and red logo marks inside shoulderplate). Comments: KPM, circa 1844 (as indicated by style of maker's mark). Comments: very rare early porcelain with outstanding sculpting and expression, rare brown hair, maker's marks, and with original body and wearing early (possibly original) well-detailed Scottish costume.
