7 1/2" (19 cm.) Solid domed bisque swivel head on kid torso, brown glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, delicately painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, blonde mohair with long cascading braid, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, painted knee-high white ribbed stockings and brown two-strap shoes, wearing antique lace-edged dress, red woolen petticoat, pants, lace bonnet, and carrying little woven purse. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1885. Value Points: rare larger size, the gentle-faced child is wonderfully-preserved and has finest quality of bisque and painting, original wig.
