11" (28 cm.) A gilded brass cage with beaded trim, brass ring holder and wooden frame with gilt finish, has a red velvet floor centered by a brass balancing bar decorated with green ivy, upon which is perched a feathered bird. When wound, the bird flits side to side, opens and closes its beak, waves tail feathers, and sings. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: made in Germany. Comments: Germany, circa 1920. Value Points: charming diminutive bird in cage with wonderful movements and sounds.
